Q&A

The Human Movement Club

What is the main goal of the Human Movement Club?

Since natural and harmonious movement is essential for the general health of the body and mind, the goal of learning the exercises is to instill a beautiful and healthy young movement for everyone, anywhere and anytime.

Can anyone improve their natural human movements?

Yes. All it takes to awaken the natural forces inherent in us is to lern the exercises with an instructor, and practice at home for a few minutes a day. For this purpose age is unimportant - many young people need prevention and growth and many adults need rehabilitation and growth, and anyone can flourish.

?What was the inspiration to develop the exercises

The initial inspiration came from nature itself. Just as dogs and cats all over the world stretch every day in the same manner, in addition to living an active and varied life, people also need to regularly maintain their movement system, in addition to regular sport activities such as basketball or dancing.

The inspiration for the development of the club's philosophy and exercises came from various holistic training methods and legends such as yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, Feldenkrais, JP Muller, Minnie Randell and Margaret Morris.

What do the Human Movement exercises train?

The club's unique movement exercises focus on functional standing positions and train many elements such as:

  • Breathing and relaxation as part of the movement.

  • Awareness and function of integrated movement systems.

  • Deep stretches in a variety of functional movement lines.

  • Balance training during complex movements.

  • Holistic and timed full-body return to the center.

  • Mental and physical preparation for possible falls.

  • Strengthening joints, bones and muscles.

  • Prevention of osteoporosis.

  • Look and feel benefits immediately and over time.

?Why is the focus on standing exercises

People are naturally active in various standing positions, and also get injured in these positions due to impaired movement. It is therefore essential to prioritize the training of functional movements in standing positions as a means of preventing injuries, preparing the body for various activities (such as running, climbing tennis, etc.) and facilitating and improving the general athletic ability.

What makes the Human Movement exercises special?

Human Movement exercises are designed to simulate natural movement situations which are essential for a healthy daily life in the modern world. The method has 31 standing exercises and 10 floor exercises performed in sequence. The exercises are arranged gradually and are learned according to the current level of each trainee. To enjoy all the mind & body benefits of this method, the goal is to learn and perform all the exercises harmoniously with the help of an instructor in the studio, and practice at home every day for about 7 minutes.

Why also train in the studio and practice at home every day?

Because it is the most effective way to master any art, and because the harmonization of functional movement makes daily activities easier, prevents pain caused by impaired movement and improves athletic performance and quality of life in general. In addition, the exercises are pleasant to perform and provide the body and mind a good feeling as well as an inner and outer beauty that is felt immediately.

?Why do the exercises and sequences not change

Human Movement exercises simulate natural, functional movements that are regular to modern daily life.
In nature, the daily stretches of dogs and cats also do not change. These stretches do not lose value and good feeling every time they are repeated, rather, the repetitiveness only strengthens the connection with the exercises. At the same time, it is important to emphasize that Human Movement exercises come in addition to other sports activities like running, tennis or swimming.
